Thanks to the generosity of our congregation and community we were able to contribute $165,992 to the City's Mobile Market! We presented this check to the University District Development Corporation, which included $141,000 contributed by members and friends of PHUMC, plus a $25,000 commitment form the PHUMC Foundation. The Mobile Market will provide healthy, affordable food to neighborhoods in our city that are food deserts, and we appreciate anyone who donated to the cause!

Join the Oasis at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church for The Art of Honoring: Odes and Icons workshop on Saturday, April 11th from 10:00am-2:00pm. Artist and educator, Lisa Thorpe, will be leading a day of art and meditation surrounding the practice of icon making as a way to honor and remember those who have passed. You can choose a saint to honor from images she provides or bring a photo of a loved one you want to celebrate. Each person will make an “Icon” on a wooden plaque using paint, decorative papers, copper and tin. At the end of the workshop there will be an opportunity to sit with your image in prayerful silence at the Arkansas House of Prayer – or take a walk around the labyrinth. The cost is $10 for materials and lunch is provided.
