WHAT'S HAPPENING AT PHUMC?

The newly organized PHUMC Green Team’s mission is to inspire our congregation and community toward environmental stewardship through encouragement and example. We’ll be using this newsletter to share practical, environmentally friendly ideas you can use right away—starting with recycling.

Did you know that Kroger accepts not only plastic grocery sacks, but also resealable zipper bags, bread and cereal bags, dry-cleaning bags, outer plastic wrap, shipping materials, and bubble wrap? These are items that are often difficult to recycle for free.

If you’re interested in learning more or getting involved, we’d love to have you join us. The Green Team meets every third Tuesday at 11:30am at the church.

PHUMC is helping sponsor the Little Rock Mobile Market, an initiative designed to bring fresh, healthy food directly to neighborhoods where access has been limited. By donating to this cause you can help stop food insecurity in our city and strengthen your community!

You can donate by bringing cash or checks to the Welcome Desk at the church, or by visiting phumc.com/mobile-market.

Wednesday Nights will resume next week for the second session of programming, beginning Wednesday, February 25th! We start serving meals at 5:00pm; cost is $10 for adults and 5th grade and up.
