It is very important to recycle batteries because it prevents more toxins and materials from entering landfills as well as helps conserve the natural resources of our planet. The battery recycling tube is located outside of Entrance 9 by the donation station. We encourage you to utilize this resource and recycle your old batteries!

Are you interested in what happens to War Memorial Park? Since the closing of the golf course in 2019, most of the park has become dormant, with no redevelopment plan fully realized. Recently, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that any redevelopment for the park is "in limbo" and a new park downtown next to I-30 is receiving attention by the city. The War Memorial Resources Alliance has created a survey to allow for a more citizen-driven redevelopment plan to take focus. Click the link below to take the survey and participate in deciding the future of War Memorial Park.
