WHAT'S HAPPENING AT PHUMC?

Mark your calendars and come to the PHUMC Connect Fair in the Argue Great Hall (Gym) from 10:00-11:00AM this Sunday, August 23rd! This is your opportunity to get connected, find a small group, or volunteer to serve. Can't make it to campus that Sunday? No worries! We will have an online portal at phumc.com/connect-fair beginning August 20.

Questions? Contact Rev. Katie Goss Pearce at kpearce@phumc.com.

From July 19–28, 2027, a group from PHUMC will travel to Mwanza, Tanzania for a Service and Learning Trip rooted in partnership with Wesley College, a United Methodist school. We will learn about the school's mission and meet with students. And we'll spend time understanding the ways that education in health, business, communications, and theology is helping transform the church and the nation.

If you’re interested in participating in this exciting opportunity, join us for an informational Zoom meeting on Tuesday, September 8th at 6:00PM! Contact Rev. Katye Chambers at kchambers@phumc.com for the link.

Join PHMen as we eat together, fellowship, and hear from different speakers about when faith or a spiritual practice has had a positive impact on their life. This month we will be hearing from Joe Kleine, former NBA player. Click the link below to register!

Join us for One-Room Sunday School on Sunday, September 13. With a congregation of over 4,000, we rarely get the opportunity to come together as a community. This will be a time for us to learn, pray, and celebrate as one body!

We will also have a special unveiling that you won't want to miss.

Check out this year's Raney Revival schedule:

Walking the Mourner’s Path is an 8 week long, in-person grief group for anyone who has suffered a significant loss and would like to process it in a group setting. We recommend you be at least 3 months removed from the death of your loved one to be best served by this particular group. It is Christ-centered, scripturally and spiritually based. The program will take place on Mondays, September 28-November 16 from 6:00-8:00PM. Mourners will learn ways to honor their loved ones, seek spiritual direction, and discover God’s promise of comfort in community!

Click the link below to fill out the interest form. Please note there is a $60 fee which goes toward materials.

I want to invite you to be a part of something that will create life-long memories. March 29-April 10, 2027, Jay Clark and I will host a Celtic Christianity trip to Ireland. This will be a wonderful opportunity to deepen your faith and see the beauty of God’s creation across the Atlantic, along with others traveling with us.

I am very excited about this trip because it also affords me the privilege of interacting with members of PHUMC in a more informal way, while enjoying the beautiful scenery and food as we enjoy locations that are unique to Ireland, while, at the same time, learning more about our Christian heritage.

I want to encourage you to contact Rev. Jay Clark at jclark@phumc.com for more information. I hope you will prayerfully consider joining us. I look forward to the joy of traveling on this spiritual journey with you!

- Dr. John Robbins
