This past Sunday we commissioned our new class of Stephen Ministers: Cindy Buehling, Paul Koesy, Suzy Koesy, Bill Mann, Jananne Reding, Cindy Simpson, Warren Simpson, and Ronda Haltom Walker! We are thankful for these congregants who have agreed to help care for their congregation and community. 

Stephen Ministry equips laity with the training to care for their fellow congregants in a variety of situations and circumstances. Stephen Ministers allow our church community to care for each other! Walking the Mourner’s Path is an in-person grief group for anyone who has suffered a significant loss and would like to process it in a group setting. This session is led by Rev. Kathleen McMurray and Bev Villines, and is Christ-centered, scripturally and spiritually based. Through the 8-week program on Mondays, June 2-July 21, 6:00-8:00PM, mourners learn ways to honor their loved ones, seek spiritual direction, and discover God’s promise of comfort in community!

May's mission collection will be sunglasses, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Our Guatemala Medical Mission team will take these with them to distribute to those with whom we work at Salud y Paz. You can drop these items off at the Donation Station outside of Entrance 9, the Welcome Desk, or the collection bins around the church.
