WHAT'S HAPPENING AT PHUMC?

You may have noticed a crane hanging around the church this week — and for good reason!

As part of Phase 1 of our This Place Matters Capital Campaign, brand-new rooftop HVAC units have officially arrived. Watching them lifted into place was a visible reminder that the promises made through this campaign are becoming reality.

These new units will help us steward our 75-year-old building well, improve efficiency, and ensure that our Sanctuary, classrooms, and gathering spaces remain comfortable and welcoming for generations to come.

Wednesday Nights second session of programming has officially begun, but it's not too late to start coming! We start serving meals at 5:00pm; cost is $10 for adults and 5th grade and up. We have classes and programming for all ages beginning at 6:00pm including Dr. Robbins' Bible Study, a mission opportunity, small group, contemplation and prayer, children's activities, youth Bible study, Midyouth, and more! Learn more by going to phumc.com/wednesdays.

If you'd like to volunteer to help out our staff in the kitchen, please click the link below!

We hope you join us for this great time of learning and fellowship! Questions? Learn more below!

We are currently looking for Helping Hands volunteers on Tuesdays between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. All you need is a BIG heart, the GIFT OF GAB and compassion for our many family caregivers who need a little time for themselves. We have seated exercises, a devotional, music, old-time TV shows/movies, a great lunch, and good, old-fashioned visiting!

You are needed for as many (or as few hours) as you have available. You can choose your ‘Tuesday of the Month’ if that suits you best. You will be blessed!

Contact Bev Villines at bvillines@phumc.com or 501-350-5053 for more info and to sign up! You can also visit our website at phumc.com/helping-hands.

This weekend is the Little Rock Marathon! That means Kavanaugh will be blocked off and you may need to take detours to get to the church. Click the links below to see a map of the course and a more detailed list on the road closure locations.

City Director Kathy Webb will be coming on March 1st during the Sunday School hour (10:10-10:50am) in the Argue Great Hall to do a presentation on voter registration and engagement and why it's important to us (or should be) as United Methodists.

If you want more information, you can contact Rev. Katye Chambers at kchambers@phumc.com.

This summer, we’re trying something a little different—and a lot of fun! Join us July 7–9 for Vacation Bible Camp, The Story of Moses, in a brand-new evening format designed for the whole family. We’re hosting an interactive dinner theatre experience where children, parents, and grandparents can all gather around the table, share a meal, laugh together, and dive into faith in a creative and engaging way. It’s Vacation Bible Camp reimagined; fresh, interactive, and full of surprises.
