Your Commute Your Choice
There’s never been a better time to re-think your commute! In anticipation of upcoming roadwork, including the closure of the flex lanes associated with the 285/400 interchange, commuters are encouraged to seek alternative ways to travel. The city maintains a Roadwork Advisory page on the website. Motorists are also encouraged to sign up for Sandy Springs Alerts.

Elavon to Expand Sandy Springs HQ, Create 180 Jobs
Elavon, a global payments company is expanding its presence in Atlanta, with a plan to hire approximately 180 new employees during the next three years. Elavon will lease additional space in the Concourse campus located in the City of Sandy Springs. Elavon currently employs more than 730 people in Sandy Springs and more than 4,300 worldwide. With the investment, it will employ more than 900 in Atlanta. 
Kennesaw State University to Offer Master of Business Degree in Sandy Springs
KSU's Michael J. Coles College of Business will offer Master of Business Administration classes at the Conference Center at City Springs beginning in the 2018-19 academic year. The new MBA location is the second partnership between the Coles College of Business and the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber, along with a nine-month Mini MBA program. Sandy Springs Updates Its Special Events Policy
The Sandy Springs City Council recently approved changes to its Special Events Policy, including new policies for events at City Springs. The updated policy covers activities that occur on public or private property which affects the use of public streets, sidewalks and roadways such as festivals, runs and walks, and concerts. Under the new policy, event organizers wishing to host an event at City Springs must apply through the established rental policies adopted for City Springs, submitting a rental inquiry form found on the CitySprings.com  website. For events outside City Springs, a Special Event Permit Application is required for events planned which impact public property or involve the use of city services. Previously, event organizers were asked to apply 60 days prior to the event day. Under the revised policy, the City is requesting application submission at least 90 days prior, with a guarantee of event decision 30 days before the event date .

More than 50 members of the media and influencers were on hand for highly anticipated retail and restaurant announcement for who's dishing what at Market Square at City Springs! Restaurants include: Cafe Vendome's second location, Flower Child, Nam Kitchen and The Select. Third Annual Lantern Parade - Saturday, April 21
Mark your calendars for the 3rd annual Sandy Springs Lantern Parade on Saturday, April 21, 2018. The parade starts at Steel Canyon Golf Club and ends at Morgan Falls Overlook Park.. Once the parade reaches the river, paddlers from High Country Outfitters will escort select lanterns to the river for a floating parade. Don't miss this riveting river light display!
Food That Rocks!
Food That Rocks is Sandy Springs signature taste-of event. For one night only Saturday, June 9, 2018, more than 25 of Sandy Springs' favorite restaurants will be the first event rocking the big tent on the City Green at City Springs!
