Sendero Shooting Sports ~ Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education
Saturday Sept. 20th, 10:30 am ~ 4:30 pm
This course is designed for novice or young hunters, ages 9 years and above. The course covers the core competencies of firearm and hunting safety, hunting ethics and wildlife conservation. All materials are provided. The Hunter Education Classroom Course lasts a maximum of 6 hours of classroom instruction. This time does not include registration, breaks, test administration and certification card distribution. Courses are offered across the state year round and are taught by certified volunteer instructors. The fee for the certification is $15. Some instructors may apply additional charges for the class, such as range or facility fees. Pre-registration is required. Check with the instructor for directions and any special instructions prior to going to class

Asleep at the Wheel ~ Cultural Activities Center

Founded in 1970, Asleep at the Wheel has been part of the American roots music landscape for more than 50 years. Although the band got its start on a farm in Paw Paw, West Virginia, Asleep at the Wheel became a cornerstone of the Austin, Texas scene upon its arrival in 1973. Inspired by Western swing and honky-tonk country, the band has accrued 10 GRAMMY®®® Awards and tours nationally and internationally.
They will be on the CAC stage, November 8, 2025

Bell County Museum ~ A Sense of Place
The exhibit features painting and lithographs by Fort Worth-based fine artist Billy Hassell. His colorful and expressive art works, frequently featuring birds and indigenous plants and animals, have been exhibited nationwide and are included in the permanent collections of many elite Texas museums. The exhibit is on display until September 13th. Admission to the museum is free. We are open Tue-Fri 12-5pm and Sat 10am-5pm.
