Belton is getting a new mural.
As part of the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Belton program, one of this year’s teams is leading an effort to bring a large-scale public mural to the exterior of the Belton Public Library in downtown Belton. The mural is intended to reflect the heart of our community and create a lasting visual landmark.
The mural will be professionally designed and painted by the muralist team Laced and Found and created specifically for Belton.
This is a fully community-funded project.
The team is currently raising $25,000 to cover artist fees, materials, equipment, and installation. The project has already received early community support, and the team is grateful for those who have stepped forward.
Those who would like to be part of this meaningful community initiative are invited to learn more.

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish.

TEXAS MUSIC LEGEND: Cory Morrow Born and raised in the Lone Star State, singer/songwriter Morrow has become a true Texas icon. From his early days playing guitar at Memorial High School in Houston to honing his craft at Texas Tech University, Morrow's journey is pure Texas through and through.
In 1993, he moved to Austin to pursue music full-time, and what a career it's been! Alongside college friend Pat Green, Morrow helped popularize the "Texas Music" sound that defines the Southwest music scene today.
With 16 albums and EPs released since 2002 and countless shows from Amarillo to Corpus Christi, Cory Morrow continues to captivate audiences across the region. He's not just a musician, he's a major attraction and a testament to the power of homegrown Texas talent.
