A place that loses its history loses its soul.

Message From The Chairman

Your Board will be having its last meeting of the year on 15 November. It will also be my last meeting as your chairman. The Board will elect new officers at the meeting.

The last several years have been challenging, primarily because of Covid. We were forced to close the Heritage Center and were not able to conduct any fundraising. The Center has partially reopened, and training of volunteers continues. I am confident that we will return to normal operations in the near future.

Four new Directors were elected at the annual meeting in September to replace departing Directors. Departing are myself, Diane Ballman, Ed Overton, and Kevin Jones.  The Center is very fortunate to have John Hennessy, Susan Scott Neal, Brad Hatch, and Billy Withers as their replacements.

It has been an honor and my pleasure to have served as your Chair.

Jack A. Apperson, Chairman
