Northeast Health Partners (NHP) is the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) responsible for improving the health and wellness of our community members in the Northeast region of the state (Region 2). Our mission is to provide a comprehensive health plan that integrates physical and behavioral health care in a way that improves the the quality of life for members by ensuring they are connected to health care supports every step of the way. We proudly serve the following counties: Cheyenne, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld & Yuma.

April is Medicaid Awareness Month

April marks Medicaid Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of Medicaid in providing access to healthcare for millions of individuals and families. In Colorado, Medicaid provides comprehensive coverage for those with limited income, ensuring access to doctors, mental health services, prescriptions and more.

The Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy & Financing (HCPF) has created four valuable tools in response to growing concerns about Medicaid funding. These resources are available through the Department’s latest message, which can be accessed here: https://hcpf.colorado.gov/executive-director

NHP Staff Highlight: Meet Our Provider and Community Relations Director

Cara Hebert

Cara is a Colorado Native and grew up just south of Denver. She has worked in healthcare for over 15 years and started her career focusing on expanding behavioral healthcare access to children and adolescents. Cara is passionate about impacting overall system change to ensure the most vulnerable communities have access to all healthcare services. When Cara is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two little girls, ages 4 ½ and 10 months.

Fun Fact: Cara is a certified yoga teacher and loves practicing mindfulness activities and sharing the benefits of yoga with her family and friends.
