Our first speaker is Monica Paul of the Dallas Sports Commission. Her name, if not familiar now, will become very familiar to you by 2026. She is leading the group that not only secured the FIFA World Cup for the DFW region, but will be coordinating the many aspects that will need to come together to show the world that not only did we deserve nine games, DFW should have gotten the finals! She will share how she is working to create a “TEAM” from multiple organizations, cities and agencies to showcase our region to the world. She will also share how you can be involved as a “TEAM” member!

We also look forward to having a presentation by John Israel. John Israel is founder and Chief Gratitude officer of Mr. Thank You, a consulting firm focused on client and employee retention. John is one of the most sought after speakers and trainers who teaches companies both big and small how to Become Irreplaceable by creating thriving profitable relationships both inside and outside the organization. His work has been featured on ABC News, Fox News, Good Morning America, and his clients include global brands such as: Square, ReMax, Fairway Mortgage, Salesforce and many others. More than anything, John loves to help people build a business they love that loves them back.

The keynote luncheon speaker Brigadier General (Ret) Joseph Rameriz who serves as the Vice President For Student Affairs of Texas A&M University. Not only does he have a great background, but he will also share several stories and advice he gives to the cadets and others on building a positive “TEAM” and future.

We ask each of you to consider inviting someone you know who would benefit from the networking and information provided by the NLF to the next meeting you attend and ask them to become a part of this longstanding regional group of business and community leaders.

Chairman’s Notes

Tuesday, October 8th we had the opportunity to hear from our local Economic Development professionals on their efforts to protect and grow the region’s economic well-being. We want to extend our thanks to Craig Hulse, NRH Director of Economic Development and the NLF Chair-Elect, Daniel Cortez, Southlake’s Director of Economic Development & Tourism, Garin Giacomarro, Grapevine Director of Economic Development and Prit Patel, Senior Economic Development Manager, North Central Texas Economic Development District for taking their time to share their insights on what makes our region strong, and what we can hope for in the future. We also enjoyed learning about what each of them would trade from the other’s cities! It was an informative and humorous breakfast.

We also thank our breakfast sponsor, Atmos Energy for the support and the awesome oven mitts! We hope that in 2025, you will look forward to attending the breakfast meetings and that you will invite others that would like to learn about our region, partner with us on promoting all that is Northeast Tarrant County and network with others to build an even stronger region!

I hope you are enjoying our great fall weather, and you are looking forward to an awesome last quarter of 2024. As always, if you have any comments, questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to myself or any of the NLF Board members. We look forward to continuing to work with you and for you in 2024 – One Degree at a Time!

Be Safe & Be Kind (because life's too short to be otherwise!),
