A Note From The Executive Director

A big thank you to everyone who visited our tables at the Farmers Market (at the IU Health Fishers tent), the great Before the Bell event held by our friends at Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation and of course, the event of the summer, Spark! Fishers. We had a blast connecting with you, talking about our new league offerings and getting kids active with our Free Play Challenge Card. We were impressed by how many kids completed the entire card this summer.

Nick Biersdorf and Matt Hammock - Baseball

Please join us in celebrating Nick Biersdorf and Matt Hammock, coaches of the 8U Orioles, as our June Dick's Volunteers of the Month! This dynamic coaching duo has made a big impact with Mudsock Youth Baseball. One family shared: "They are everything and more you would expect from coaches, highly organized, prepared, and passionate. Their communication is top-notch, and they bring an unmatched energy to every practice and game. What stands out most is their patience, intentional positivity, and the respect they show not only to their players but to every team they face. They are setting an incredible example for our kids." Nick and Matt, thank you for creating such a positive and respectful environment. Your leadership is helping shape the future of youth sports, one player, and one game, at a time.

Ashley Deal - Boys Lacrosse

We couldn’t be more excited to recognize Ashley Deal from Mudsock Boys Lacrosse as our July Dick's Volunteer of the Month. Ashley led the charge in organizing the IYLA Indiana Lacrosse Tournament at Cyntheanne Park, welcoming 55 teams and more than 2,500 spectators. She managed it all - onsite logistics, volunteer recruitment, concessions, referees, food trucks, and clean-up with incredible attention to detail. In addition to pulling off a successful tournament, Ashley helped teams come together to honor the life of an out-of-state player, ensuring the day was filled with meaning and memorable touches. Thank you, Ashley, for your heart, hustle, and leadership. You make our community stronger.

Final Buzzer: Warning: Wearing Mudsock merch may result in excessive cheering, spontaneous clapping, and uncontrollable sideline swagger. Want to look like you know the play even if you don’t? Gear up here.
