In typical Indiana fashion, we have dropped 20 degrees into fall with seemingly no warning. The cooler air means pumpkin patches, bonfires and the leaves changing to their beautiful oranges, yellows and red. At the Mudsock Youth Athletics office, we are changing, too.

We are excited to have a record number of kindergarten through 8th grade athletes playing basketball with us this winter! We still have a few spaces open in certain divisions for our recreational basketball season. Register now at myathletics.com.
Save-the-Date: Our first annual Kickoff Jamboree will take place on November 5th at HIJH from 9 a.m. - noon. Learn about this fun event including food trucks, music, team photos and more here.
Practices will begin on November 7th, with the first game on November 19th. The league will run through early March.

Registration for our recreational basketball program remains open at myathletics.com. The league welcomes athletes in kindergarten through 8th grade. Boys (K) play January through March, (1st - 6th) November through March, and (7th/8th) December through March.

Championship games for our 2022 recreational teams were held on October 2nd at HSE high school. Congratulations to each of our division champions. Our flag divisions completed their seasons on September 24th. The All-Star season will continue through October.

Our fall ball recreational tournament is underway and championship games will be played through October 12th. All-Star games will take place on October 13th.
Registration for our spring season will open January 1st for 5U-HS divisions.
Save-the-Date: Recreational Opening Day is BACK on April 22nd. The Battle at the Bill Travel Tournament will take place June 22nd - June 25th, 2023.

It's tournament weekend for our 3rd - 6th graders and teams will compete today, October 8th, and Sunday, October 9th. Our Pre-K - 2nd grade teams also wrap up play this Saturday and the 7th/8th rec plus and high school divisions will continue games through the end of October.

We're pretty sure our August Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month's 2nd home is on the diamond. We were thrilled to receive this nomination for Robb Yankauskas, who oversees sponsorships for Mudsock Youth Softball, along with assisting in scheduling, field prep and tryouts. Kudos, Robb! You are instrumental to the success of the league and we love celebrating you!

Olivia Flanagan - Volleyball
We couldn't be happier to recognize Olivia Flanagan, our September Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month, as an outstanding student coach for Mudsock Youth Volleyball. She's a rock star role model for her 5th grade girls team and has stepped up lending her talents as a ref and helping with nets. Thanks for being a great mentor and motivating girls to keep playing!
