Frequently Asked Questions
I nstead of my normal newsletter inclusion, I wanted to provide you some answers to questions that I have been receiving recently.

Question: Why aren't basketball schedules like outdoor sports schedules?

Answer: We are extremely fortunate to have HSE Schools as a community partner and through that partnership, we utilize their school gymnasiums. In order to minimize the number of versions/changes to the schedule based on changes with school activities, our leagues try to release the schedule weeks at a time. In general, your teams' games and practices will be in the same time block, but their location will vary throughout the year.

Our League is focused on safety! Our coaches receive "Heads Up" concussion training and an athletic trainer is on premises for every game. Our league had zero reported concussions for 2018.

VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH
January : Jill Berry
A big shout out to Jill Berry, our January Volunteer of the Month, for her tremendous “behind the scenes” efforts for  HSE-Fishers Boys Lacrosse ! Some of her roles include league commissioner and team mom as well as playing an integral role in events. If something is happening with boy’s lacrosse, she is there. Go Jill!
February: Jen Butts
We are inspired by our February Volunteer of the Month, Jen Butts, a Rockstar coach lending her talents to both  HSE-Fishers Boys Youth Basketball  and  Fishers/HSE Girls Rec Basketball  as well as volleyball - WOW! A former college athlete, Jen uses her love of the game to help every child come out a better player at the end of the season. Thank you, Jen, for your dedication to our leagues over the past five years!!
