Stepping Up To The Plate

Championship games for our 8U - 12U divisions are underway! Our high school, 5U and 6U divisions have wrapped up play. Thank you to each of the players, families, coaches and umpires who helped make the spring season a success. Rec All-Star play will begin this week. Come out to Billericay Park June 22nd - June 25th to watch Fishers Express and other local travel teams compete in The Battle at the Bill.

Express Travel Tryouts will take place on July 17th (13U and 14U Fishers Tigers) and from July 22nd to July 23rd (7U - 12U). Learn more here. Please note, participants must register to attend tryouts at myathletics.com.

Co-ed field hockey registration remains open for athletes in 2nd - 11th grade at myathletics.com. We will divide participants into beginner and advanced divisions based on their ability and experience. No previous playing experience is required and there will be opportunities for competitive and non-competitive play.

Please note, while weekday practices take place at Holland Park, some Saturday games (8/26, 9/9, 9/23 and 10/7) will take place at the Grand Park Campus in Westfield. All other Saturday games besides these dates, will take place at Holland Park.

Welcome to our 2023 youth cheerleaders and families! Participants still interested in recreational cheer (kindergarten - 6th grade) are encouraged to sign up on the waitlist at myathletics.com. Please note, athletes will cheer for our 4th, 5th and 6th grade tackle football divisions only.

Uniform fittings will continue on June 22nd, June 27th and July 20th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Billericay Park Community Room. In order to keep track of participants who have received uniforms we have created a sign up here. Please choose a date that fits your schedule and if you have multiple participants, please add a spot for each of them. Thank you!

Girls volleyball recreational registration remains open for certain divisions for athletes in 4th - 8th grade at myathletics.com. Evaluations will continue on June 19th from 6 - 8 p.m. at Riverside Intermediate for those athletes interested in playing in the rec plus (5th/6th division).

Football registration remains open for athletes in certain divisions for flag football (kindergarten - 2nd grade), rookie tackle (3rd grade), modified tackle (4th grade), tackle (5th and 6th grade) and NEW all-female flag for 3rd/4th and 5th/6th at myathletics.com.

Optional summer conditioning will continue twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 at Mudsock Fields.

Equipment handouts for tackle football will continue on June 22nd, June 28th and July 6th from 5:30 - 8 p.m. Equipment can be used for both high school and youth camps.

High School Rugby Sevens registration remains open at myathletics.com. Offered to high school boys and girls. Rugby sevens is a variant of rugby union where teams are made up of seven players playing seven minute halves. Games will be on Sundays and the season runs from August to October.

Fall stick skills registration remains open for participants in 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions at myathletics.com.

We will again hold our eight week sessions from August 13th - October 11th at Hamilton Proper Park on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

NEW: Registration is open for high school intramural flag football this fall. Run by MYA staff, HSE and FHS students are invited to form teams and play on Sunday evenings at Mudsock Fields. With FUN as the priority, registration will remain open through August 16th (extended) at myathletics.com. Participants should indicate their team captain on the registration form.

The Geist Half Marathon is back on Saturday, September 16th. One of our longtime volunteers on the Mudsock Youth Soccer Board is an ambassador for the event.

Join Mudsock Girls Basketball on Wednesdays through July 20th for summer workouts at Fishers Junior High. Offered to girls entering 3rd - 5th and 6th - 8th grade in the fall, build fundamentals through instruction from FHS and HSE coaches and players. No registration necessary. Cost is $5 per athlete at the door. Thank you for bringing your own ball. Learn more here.

Vince Smith and Dave Evans - Soccer

A big shoutout to the dynamic duo of Vince Smith and Dave Evans, who are our April Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteers of the Month. Nominated by a parent on their soccer team, they are the perfect combination of fun and competitive while building confidence within each player. We hear you'll find them doing their "best version" of a cartwheel as a reward for thoughtful play. We think their sidelines will be a little fuller now!

Chris Lawhead - Rugby

Our May Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month is a TOP-NOTCH coach and a maintenance guru, painting field lines and installing goal posts. A true team player, you'll find him cleaning out concessions after the much-loved "rugby socials." Did we mention he is also the STATE CHAMPION leading his 7th/8th grade division to the title earlier this month?! Congratulations, Chris Lawhead! Your passion echoes through the community.
