STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE

Know Where to Go: Care Options for your Child. When your child is sick or hurt, you want them to get the care they need as quickly as possible. Riley Children’s Health has created a symptom guide to help determine if primary care, urgent care, virtual care or emergency care may be the appropriate care option. Learn more.

A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

We are not focused on trying to produce the best athletes; we are focused on trying to produce the best humans. We firmly believe that well-rounded children play multiple sports throughout their development and learn life skills that they can apply later in life. That doesn’t mean kids who specialize can’t turn out to be great humans, too, we just know statistically that more long-term positive outcomes result from life long, active participants versus children who got burnt out at age 12 and never return to sport again.

Sarah Boser - Volleyball

Congratulations to our October Dick's Volunteer of the Month, Sarah Boser! This was one family’s first season experiencing Mudsock Youth Volleyball, and their gratitude says it all: “We are so grateful to have Sarah as our coach. She goes above and beyond with all the players, especially those newer to the sport, taking time to teach the fundamentals and help each athlete grow. She’s patient, encouraging, and makes learning fun. Our daughter has fallen in love with volleyball thanks to her!” Thank you, Sarah, for creating a positive, supportive, and fun environment where players can learn, build confidence, and discover their passion for the game. We’re so lucky to have volunteers like you who make such a lasting impact.

Ryan Tolle - Football

Congratulations to our Dick’s November Volunteer of the Month, Ryan Tolle! For more than 10 years, Ryan has been a cornerstone of Mudsock Youth Football. From serving as treasurer for the past six years to being out on the fields every Saturday at 7:30 a.m. setting up before the first whistle, his dedication runs deep. Even in seasons without a player in the league, Ryan showed up - leading, supporting, and helping our program thrive. His vision and commitment have elevated the experience for our players, families, and fans in countless ways. Thank you, Ryan, for your passion, leadership, and selflessness. Our football community is stronger because of you.
