And just like that, 2021 is coming to a close. I recall as a little kid that the adults in my life would always tell me that as you get older time moves quicker. These past two years have really solidified that notion for me. It feel like this year really flew by. We started off 2021 with so much uncertainty, but we're ending the year with so much hope and a lot to be grateful for.

Say cheese, picture day is today, December 11th. Play will continue through early March for our kindergarten - 8th grade recreational athletes. Thank you to each of our coaches, commissioners and board members for helping us make this record breaking season a success!

High School Co-Ed Intramural Basketball Registration is now open and runs through December 20th at myathletics.com. This is a fun opportunity for boys and girls who attend FHS or HSE to play ball on Sunday evenings. Learn more here.

Time to lace up those little sneakers; actually go ahead and double-knot them for these guys. Our kindergarten division begins on January 8th. The rec plus and junior high divisions kicked off this month with play continuing for the 1st - 6th graders participating in our recreational program.

We are excited to offer 1st - 12th graders an opportunity to participate in track & field. Our focus will be on fitness, fun and training to participate in meets.
Please note, registration opens on January 1st and runs through January 31st at myathletics.com.
We encourage older athletes to participate in their school track programs and join us after their season is complete!
The first practice and parent meeting will take place in mid-April at Riverside Intermediate/Junior High. The season will conclude in July.

Rugby is looking forward to seeing new and returning players for the 2022 season! No previous playing experience necessary - we will teach you!
Registration opens on January 1st and runs through January 31st at myathletics.com.
We offer flag rugby for 2nd - 4th graders and tackle rugby for 5th/6th co-ed, 7th/8th boys, 7th/8th girls and high school girls. Note - the HSE and FHS boys teams are available through the high schools.
Attend one of our Virtual Parent Callout Meetings each Thursday in January at 8 p.m. Information will be posted on our site soon.

Divisions offered for girls 8U (April - May) and 10U-14U (March - May) with games at Cyntheanne Park.
Stop by our free TRY-IT Day on January 9th anytime between 12-2 p.m. at Finch Creek Fieldhouse. Meet board members, coaches and youth players while trying drills run by the HSE High School Girls Lacrosse Team. Girls in 1st - 8th grade welcome. No experience necessary.
Save-The-Date! We are hosting a season call-out meeting on March 9th. More details will follow as we get closer to the date. New and returning families are encouraged to attend.

Registration for our spring recreational season opens on January 1st and runs through January 31st at myathletics.com. We offer developmental play for athletes in the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions from March to late May.
NEW for 2022, the 12U and 14U age groups have new team designations: an A and B team. The A team will be similar to years past that was designated as the "Travel" team and the B team will be similar to the "Rec" team. The new team divisions will help our league better align with the designations of other area IYLA teams we compete against. Please note, tryouts for the A "Travel" teams were completed in August 2021.

NEW: Our recreational league division breakdown will now be by age, rather than grade, beginning spring 2022. Divisions offered for 5U (formerly PK), 6U (formerly K), 8U (formerly 1st/2nd), 10U (formerly 3rd/4th), 12U (formerly 5th/6th), 14U (formerly 7th/8th), and High School.
Spring recreational evaluations will take place in January and February. Find the dates here.
Save-the-Date: For the 2022 season, our Rec Tournament will kick off on a Saturday and include festivities similar to previous opening day celebrations. More information soon!

The spring 2022 softball season is almost here! Recreational registration opens on January 1st and runs through January 31st at myathletics.com.
Offered to girls in divisions for 5/6 year-olds, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and high school, evaluations will take place on February 20th at Fishers High School.
The recreational season kicks off at Olio Fields the week of March 28th and wraps up with a closing tournament in mid-June
Save-the-date: Rec Opening Day will take place on April 16th. All-Star tryouts will take place in mid-April.

Join Mudsock Youth Soccer for our 2022 Spring Season. Registration opens on January 1st and runs through January 31st at myathletics.com. Offered for players 4 years old through high school, the recreational season will run from mid-April through the end of May.
We will continue to offer the 7th and 8th grade Rec Plus option, for separate boys and girls teams, as well as co-ed high school Rec Plus play. Athletes in these divisions will play other local teams outside of Mudsock Youth Soccer in addition to our own teams.

Spring program scholarships available!
In 2021, we awarded over 300 program scholarships to children in kindergarten - 8th grade to participate in league play.
For 2022, we will continue to provide affordable, community based programing that is available to ALL kids within the HSE School District, regardless of their situation. Thank you to our sponsors for your tremendous support!

Kudos to Chip Bradway, soccer president, who is the October Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month. Families tout his positivity and enthusiasm as a coach (and referee!) in addition to his tireless efforts to get as many kids playing as possible this year. He's a superstar!

Jamie Schellhammer - Girls Basketball
Help us celebrate Jamie Schellhammer, our November Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month. As a top-notch head coach and dedicated girls basketball board member, she also coordinated uniforms for over 70 teams this season. Did we mention she is a working mother of two? We appreciate our village!
