A Note From The Executive Director | |
Every October 1st, I text a group of friends that September has ended as part of a nod to an inside joke about the Green Day song that came out when we were in school. In the song, Green Day sings “Summer has come and passed,” and that’s true of our fall sports, too. By next weekend, all of our rec team sports will have wrapped. We’ll still have a few more all stars and Rec+ teams that will be finishing up after fall break though.

Amber Lance - Cheer
A huge round of applause for our Mudsock Youth Cheer President, Amber Lance, who is our August Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month. Her leadership has paved the way for hundreds of youth to participate in sideline cheer in Fishers while also serving as the longtime secretary for Mudsock Youth Football. She's part of our all-star squad in the Mudsock community.

Nando Sianez - Softball
Congratulations to our Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month, Nando Sianez with Mudsock Youth Softball! This fall, Coach Nando went above and beyond. Originally signed up to coach an 8U team, Nando didn't hesitate to step up when the 10U division needed help. Coaching both divisions is no small feat, especially with doubleheaders every Sunday. Nando arrived at Olio Fields before noon and stayed until after 6 p.m. to make sure both teams had the support and leadership they needed. We are grateful for all that he does for the players and community.
