STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE

Be On Our Esports Board

MYA is forming an esports league and we're seeking passionate community members who would like to be on the board.

More than 70 percent of youth in esports programs would not have participated in any other extracurricular activity. We're excited to engage this audience while teaching problem solving and collaboration through gaming. If your interests align with our mission, thanks for emailing [email protected] to learn more!

A Note From The Executive Director

And just like that, another school year is upon us. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, a clock at the top of a mountain moves faster than a clock at the base of the mountain. Extrapolating that thought out to Fishers, IN, one can only assume that summer keeps flying by faster and faster because we continue to reach new heights in our community. Right? (This is the part where I remind you that I went to Indiana University, and did not take a physics class, so my understanding of those principles is shaky at best.)

Setting Einstein aside, we are reaching new heights at Mudsock Youth Athletics. We currently have the most recreational participants ever registered for a fall season in the history of our organization. This is a testament to our dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours assembling teams, recruiting coaches, and completing the 1000-piece puzzle that is practice scheduling.

Stephanie Gardner - Softball

Planning and carrying out softball opening day is a huge task and our June Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month, nailed it. Stephanie Gardner made the kick off to the spring recreational season special for over 400 players who paraded and took part in the festivities alongside their teammates. Thank you for using your talents to give back!

Renee Braley - Volleyball

Teamwork makes the dream work and our July Dick's Sporting Goods Volunteer of the Month serves as the perfect example. Renee Braley helped spearhead efforts to reintroduce our boys volleyball offering and increase board participation through a recruitment event last spring. She currently manages uniforms for the girls league this fall. Our village rocks!
