California IBank's Small Business Assistance Programs

The U.S. Treasury Department has allocated $1.2 billion to the State of California as part of Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative. These funds are meant to help states address challenges small businesses face in securing financing.

These funds will be split between the Small Business Loan Guarantee program, the Collateral Support Program and the California Capital Access Program (CalCAP) for Small Business.

IBank seeks to enroll more lenders in the Small Business Loan Guarantee Program. The list of lenders already participating is available on IBank’s Participating Lenders webpage

IBank expects to launch the new Expanding Venture Capital Access program by year's end. Those interested in the VC program can sign up to stay informed on IBank’s Venture Capital webpage

Climate Tech Program Launches Throughout California

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District and IBank announced the statewide expansion of the Climate Tech Finance program

The Climate Tech Finance program has supported $21 million in loans, focusing on Bay Area companies and projects. By expanding the program statewide, entrepreneurs and small businesses across California will have access to the Air District’s impact evaluation and IBank’s loan guarantee of up to 80% of the loan principal or $5 million, whichever is less.

The Climate Tech Finance program is a first-of-its-kind finance partnership designed to accelerate the growth of small businesses working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As part of its goal of a post-carbon Bay Area by 2050, the Air District developed the program in partnership with IBank and the Northern California Financial Development Corporation in 2018.
