If You Want a Great Outcome,
You Prepare for Trial
We are often asked – What is the value of my lawsuit? What are the risks? The answers to those questions depend on a number of factors, including, is your opponent willing to take you to trial? If so, does your opponent fear you at trial? Are there factors driving your opponent to settle short of trial? And if the case goes to trial, what a jury would award you if your case actually went all the way? The only proven way to achieve successful results is to hire a trial team who has the track record and the experience to win your case.
Burg Simpson’s litigation attorneys will prepare your case for success at trial from the very first day of your representation. The vigilance of our firm’s litigation team means our cases are often won long before we proceed to trial. At Burg Simpson, our attorneys are trial-tested, and we are always trial-ready.

Burg Simpson Shareholder Seeks Justice for
Victim of Sexual Assault
Burg Simpson shareholder and trial lawyer Scott J. Eldredge is currently representing a victim in a civil lawsuit in Aspen, Colorado. The case has been filed against a former priest who stands accused of sexually assaulting a young boy. The victim, who is now 24 years old, was a 7-year-old altar boy in Aspen when the alleged abuse began in approximately 2004. The victim has accused the priest of assaulting him over 300 times over a 4 year period. The lawsuit, filed in Denver District Court, also accuses the priest of beating the boy on occasions when the child resisted the priest’s physical demands.
The priest has denied the claims made by the plaintiff in the complaint and is preparing to fight the allegations in court. The Aspen Police Department is currently conducting a criminal investigation into the plaintiff's assertions. The Catholic Archdiocese is waiting for the Aspen Police Department to complete the inquiry before undertaking its own internal investigation.
Mr. Eldredge characterized the allegations as “horrific”, and said, “It was a repeated episode of abuse, and we are looking forward to trial.”
