Burg Simpson Fights for Justice
Following Sunbeam Product Explosion
Burg Simpson's founding shareholder Michael Burg has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a client citing an incident where her Sunbeam Crock-Pot 6-Quart Express Crock Multi-Cooker exploded. The product malfunction occurred in June 2019 when the lid suddenly became unattached, and the client was sprayed with the scalding hot contents within the pressure cooker. The explosion caused second-degree and third-degree burns on her face, chest, and arms.

Since 2017, federal safety officials have reported approximately 100 incidents of consumers who suffered from severe burns when using Sunbeam's Crock-Pot Multi-Cookers. Sunbeam was aware of the problem, and while they responded to many of the complaints, they did nothing to warn consumers.
