We urgently need ALL families to submit a meal application right away.

Our current submission rate is 59%...but to keep all those vital programs and personnel we need to reach 68%.

The COVID 19 Pandemic has made meal application submissions even more important for school funding! If you need any assistance with completing the meal application, the Hamilton High School Parent Center is ready to assist you. The UCLA After School Program is still collecting applications. Email jplatas@teaching.ucla.edu for more info on the enrichment and support offered by the program which include:

• Academic Tutoring on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 2:30pm. Open to all grades.
• College Corner for 12th graders onTuesdays at 3pm and Thursdays at 4pm
• Navigating America series for ELD students on Thursday at 3pm -topic for this week is Reclassification.
• Recording Club is taking students to create music and produce original pieces - they meet Fridays at 3pm.

Parent Workshop

Morgan Chitty, Development Manager of PLUS ME (and a graduate of Hamilton HS), a non- profit dedicated to motivating students through storytelling has invited our parents to a free workshop just for parents called the Power of Storytelling. This free Zoom workshop will be Thursday, October 8th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Parents will:
  • Learn to connect with their children
  • Connect with other parents
  • Learn about storytelling for self-care & motivation
  • Build the basics of their story

This is offered in English & Spanish
