Selling a Home: Will You Owe Tax on the Profit?
Many homeowners across the country have seen their home values increase recently. According to the National Association of Realtors, the median price of homes sold in July of 2021 rose 17.8% over July of 2020. The median home price was $411,200 in the Northeast, $275,300 in the Midwest, $305,200 in the South, and $508,300 in the West.

Congratulations Melanie!

Happy 5th Anniversary to Melanie Pokorny! She joined our firm back on September 26, 2016. Melanie works on audit engagements and tax return preparation. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and going to the beach! We are fortunate to have Melanie on the Santora team!
Congratulations Linda!

On October 1st, we celebrated Linda Pappajohn's 34th anniversary! Initially hired as the Firm Administrator, Linda discovered a passion for Human Resources and helping companies with all types of people challenges. This led her to start the firm’s HR Consulting Division. Linda is a frequent speaker (locally and nationally) on all things HR related. In 2006, she joined a passionate group of Wilmington runners to start Girls on the Run Delaware and serves as its Treasurer. Outside of the office, Linda enjoys visiting with her family in New England, vacationing in Bar Harbor, Maine, and attempting to play golf. We are so lucky to have Linda right, by our side!
Congratulations Jenna!

On October 5th, we celebrated Jenna Henke's 1st anniversary! Jenna started her career at SCG as an extern in 2018, completed an internship in 2019, and joined the firm full time after graduation from the University of Delaware in 2020. She is currently studying and sitting for the CPA exam! Outside of the office, Jenna is most likely to be found playing solitaire or journaling in a local coffeehouse! We are lucky to have Jenna on the Santora team!
Congratulations Ray!

On October 5th, we celebrated Ray Willis' 1st anniversary! Ray started his career at SCG as an intern in 2019 and joined the firm full time after graduation from the University of Delaware in 2020. He works on a variety of tax and audit engagements and recently passed the Uniform CPA Exam! In Ray’s spare time you can find him fishing or golfing with close friends! We are so happy to have Ray on our team!
Santora CPA Group at the Phillies!
On Thursday, September 9th, Olivia Jamison took her family to the Phillies vs. the Colorado Rockies game at Citizens Bank Park to celebrate her brother’s 23rd birthday.

On Saturday, September 11th, Pam Morris took her husband, Jim, their nephew, and their next-door neighbor to the Phillies game.

On Wednesday, September 15th, Samantha Finfer took her parents, Matt and Carol, and her Uncle Frank to the Phillies game.
