New Option for Unused Funds in a 529 College Savings Plan

With the high cost of college, many parents begin saving with 529 plans when their children are babies. Contributions to these plans aren’t tax deductible, but they grow tax deferred. Earnings used to pay qualified education expenses can be withdrawn tax-free. However, earnings used for other purposes may be subject to income tax plus a 10% penalty.

SCGU Class of 2024

On March 12th, Heath, Israel, Brandon, Olivia, and Samantha hosted a luncheon for our seven summer interns! It was so great to catch up with them, and we are looking forward to them coming onboard in June as our SCGU Class of 2024!

Dress Like a Song Contest!

On March 12th, we brightened up our March 15th deadline week with a "Dress Like a Song" contest!

Our participants were:

Katie - All About That Bass (Meghan Trainor)

Kim - Little Red Corvette (Prince)

Diane - Diamonds and Pearls (Prince)

Erin - Purple Rain (Prince)

Danielle - When Doves Cry (Prince)

Tara - Material Girl (Madonna)

Our Admin Department was serious competition with their group theme, "Songs by Prince."

The overall winner of the contest was Kim with her handcrafted Corvette costume!
