On Sunday, May 7th, Bill Santora took his daughter, Beth, and her family to the Phillies game.
Bill’s grandson, Wil, was one of nine young people selected to be on the field during the National Anthem. He got his name and picture up on the jumbotron scoreboard, and he received a new baseball autographed by the Phillies’ winning pitcher, Taijuan Walker.
The Phillies beat the Boston Red Sox by the score of 6-1. As Beth said, “It was a great day! He will never forget it…he was on cloud nine!”
