On Tuesday, January 10th, we surprised Bill Santora with a celebration of the 40th anniversary of his founding Santora CPA Group on January 1, 1983!

Heath Kahrs, our current Managing Director, thanked Bill for his past leadership and for his continued committment to the betterment of SCG.

Bill was presented with four bottles of wine, a gift certificate for a private dinner at The Inn at Grace Winery, and a limousine ride for the special evening.

There was a delicious lunch from Toscana’s and a cake from Giant.

To commemorate the day, our director group got together for an official 40th anniversary photo too!

On January 9th, we celebrated Bob Smith's 11th anniversary!

As the lead director in charge of our Tax Services Division, Bob has over three decades of experience managing and providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to businesses, families, nonprofits, trusts, and special purpose entities. He has led work teams, special projects, and service departments focused on process improvement and delivering higher quality and timely products to our clients.

On January 10th, it was Michele Camponelli's 1st anniversary!

Michele provides bookkeeping and accounting services to clients in a variety of industries in the Small Business Services Department.

She also serves on the Advisory Board for Mosaic in Delaware and the Board of Directors for the Christiana Rotary Foundation.

In line with our Core Purpose, “The continual pursuit and use of knowledge for the betterment of our clients, our team, and the community as a whole,” John Mraz has some exciting news to share!

He has successfully completed the AICPA’s Advanced Single Audit Certificate program. Single auditors who earn this badge can evaluate and apply audit steps such as client acceptance, engagement planning and analysis, and concluding on a single audit engagement. Badge earners demonstrate an advanced competency level as outlined in the AICPA Competency Framework: Governmental Auditing. These candidates evaluate and perform single audit-specific requirements such as major program determination, audit sampling, and reporting on the compliance of internal controls.
