ALS Phase II clinical trial led by Robert Brown shows treatment is safe, well tolerated
A study by Robert H. Brown, MD, DPhil, shows that a single transplantation of a bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) called NurOwn was safe and well tolerated by patients. The results were published in the journal Neurology. Developed by BrainStorm Cell Therapeutics Inc., NurOwn cell therapy is the furthest advanced autologous stem cell treatment in development for ALS. On Oct. 11, the company announced that the NurOwn Phase III clinical trial for ALS was fully enrolled. 2019 Fall Events
We've had some amazing events this year! So many supporters organizing events, participating in the events and donating to the events. We are blessed to have you as a member of The Angel Fund Family.
Step up to Cure ALS F.O.R ROB
The Step up to Cure ALS F.O.R. ROB was a great success! Nearly 200 people came out to support our guest of honor Rob Mannal and his family. Proceeds benefited ALS research.
Casino Night
The Angel Fund's Casino Night was held in memory of three amazing men - Jim Daly, Tony Marcella and Richard Rossi. Thanks to all who came to support ALS research. A special thank you to Sal Barbagallo and Subaru of Wakefield for hosting our event, Kowloon, The Lakeside Inn and our sponsors.

Hundreds of supporters walked the runway at the Annual Angel Fund Gala. The night included the presentation of our Angel Awards to three amazing people, Dr. Brown's encouraging message to the attendees, silent and live auctions and the popular balloon fundraiser.It was a fun night in support of ALS research.
Annual Golf Tournament
The 5th Annual Golf Tournament was held at the Hopkinton Country Club on a glorious Fall day. The tournament has raised over $100,000 in five years!

100 Innings of Baseball
Chief Umpire Walter Bentson led the 100 Innings of Baseball Game in October. Players completed the 100 innings in about 32 hours with some players - Ironmen and Ironwomen playing all 100 Innings!
Walk of Hope for ALS
Hundreds of walkers and their teams stepped off to walk the 3.5 miles to raise funds for ALS research. What an inspirational day as we walked for those who no longer can!
Jimmie Neil Memorial Softball Game
For over 20 years Maureen Neil and her sons Mike and Chris have held a softball game in memory of their husband/father who lost his courageous battle to ALS.
