"The Age of Anxiety:

Addressing the Dominant Mental Malady of Our Time"

SUNDAY'S ORDER OF SERVICE

Guest Speaker:

Philip Chard, MS, LCSW, NLP

Worship Leader: Steve Frey

Anxiety is the most widespread mental health challenge worldwide, affecting virtually all ethnic and age groups. In recent years, this condition has steadily increased, spurred in part by growing uncertainty over the state of our nation, the geopolitical world, and our planet. We will examine what fuels anxiety, how it manifests in mind, body, and spirit, and what we can do to address it.

Chili Cook-off Wrap-up:

Give us your comments!

This year's Chili Cook-off is over and all the crock-pots have been washed, but do you have ideas about how to make the event better? More fun? More interactive? Do you think the event should be more of a fundraiser or more of a fellowship event? How often should we have it? Is September the right month?

Send your comments to Jeannie Baker and she'll compile and share them with the Board and the Stewardship Committee. Thanks in advance for your attention.

"The Courage to Vote"

The Rev. Julie Stoneberg

Most of us can trust that we can go to the polls and practice democracy without facing harassment or danger. And yet, even with such freedom, many don’t feel their voice matters. Does it require courage to participate and believe In a system with so many flaws?
