“Let the Mystery Be” - Christmas Eve Services
|
The Rev. Julie Stoneberg
On this day when Sunday and Christmas Eve unite, we again encounter the age-old story, always as if for the first time. It's God incarnate; but just how is it that the holy enters our human lives? In the presence of music and candlelight, let us simply bask in the mystery.
The Multi-generational Christmas Choir will sing for the 10 am service while Mezzo-soprano Brennan Martinez will be the guest soloist at the 4 pm service.
| |
Children of all ages are welcome to stay in the sanctuary during the 10 am service as childcare is unavailable. Childcare is offered at the 4 pm service and starts at 3:45 pm. As always, children are welcome to stay in the sanctuary during either service.

Winter Solstice Service
TONIGHT, December 21st at 7 pm
In-person or online
uucw.org/livestream
We honor the moment when the night is longest here in the northern hemisphere with darkness, drumming, stories, and a powerful earth-based ritual to “call for the sun’s return.” Bring your drums and shakers. Children who can enjoy a dramatic, hour-long worship experience are welcome to attend with their parents or guardians. Through ritual, storytelling, and reflection, our Earth Spirit worship services help us tune in to the seasons of the earth.

USHERS AND GREETERS ARE NEEDED for the Solstice and Christmas Eve services. Sign up below!

Survey Results Now Available
As you probably know, the Ministerial Search Team has spent the past several months putting together a congregational record to help prospective ministers better understand our congregation.
We invited you to give us your opinion by taking the congregational survey and by attending numerous cottage meetings and focus groups.
As part of our efforts for transparency, summaries of our findings now are available. We hope you find the results as interesting as we did!

Campus Team Now Forming
Over the past year, UUCW has been working to restructure the Campus Team. Team members will work with Vicki Banville, Church Administrator, to acquire quotes from businesses, monitor general annual maintenance, coordinate project volunteers, and ensure the upkeep of the building and grounds.

The holiday season is a time to spread joy, love, and laughter. Nothing quite captures the spirit of the season like a White Elephant and Silly Sock exchange. These events are always a hit with groups of all ages, but especially with young adults like our YRUU group.
