“Imagine What Our Joy Can Do!” | |
|
The Rev. Julie Stoneberg
All month we’ve been talking about what UUCW can be and do together. As we wrap up our Pledge Drive month, let’s get real about how our joy can change the world, even as it co-exists with our pain, brokenness and curmudgeon-ness.
Our theme for March is the Path of Joy.
Don’t miss the UUCW Adult Choir’s special performance today.

Current Covid Risk: LOW

UUCW is sad to announce that Evan McDoniels is moving on from the Sound Technician/Sexton position to pursue other opportunities. Evan will be with us until April 2nd. We are hoping to fill the Sound Technician/Sexton position prior to his leaving. This position works an average of four hours on 2-3 Sundays per month and for special events. Training is provided.
The Cleaning Specialist position is also available. It is time to bring back a cleaner on staff and keep the building stocked and beautiful. This is a ten-hour position that is flexible during the week.
If you or someone you know might be interested in either of these positions, please contact Vicki Banville.

Imagine What Our Joy Can Do!
Pledges Are Starting to Arrive!
We all have big visions for our church — for who we are and what we want to become. Our visions ask us to choose a life of service and action, within the beloved community we hold dear, grounded in generosity and justice. We call on joy in this time of renewing our pledge for the coming year to UUCW.
Have you sent in your pledge yet?

Sit right down and write
a love letter… to UUCW!
If you could tell this congregation why you love them, what would you say? How has it touched you, fed you, needed you? What has it taught you?
What have you seen UUCW doing? How has this community affirmed you, loved you? When has your love for UUCW spilled out of you? How has UUCW changed the world, or changed you?

Saturday, April 1 at 2 pm at UUCW
Join writer Scott Kopichke for a staged reading of his original play "Time Weights." The play is about Lauren, a retired physics professor in the early stages of dementia. When she receives a package from her deceased mentor, Stephen Hawking, and some improbable visitors, her tenuous grasp of reality begins to fray. Will she stay tethered to her daughter, or will she find new life in the black hole?

YRUU Bake Sale
This Sunday!
The YRUU youth group will continue to host their bake sale after Sunday's service to help fund their trip to Boston this summer.
Why Boston? A youth pilgrimage to Boston can help to make our liberal heritage a real part of the lives of our youth. They will visit the churches where important events occurred, see the public statues of UU heroes, and visit the graves of our forebears. This is a great opportunity to support our youth as they plan for this important trip.
