Rev. Julie Stoneberg
On this Memorial Day weekend, we remember our ancestors, particularly those who have died as the result of military war. Yet war, internal and external, leaves a path of destruction out of which new opportunity can arise…to create a different reality. What role does moral reasoning play in this process?
Our theme for May is The Path of Creativity.

Have you heard that this summer UUCW is collaborating with two other UU congregations in an exciting experiment to share services? We'll be traveling to either Waukesha or Hartland on four Sundays (July 9 and 16, August 6 and 13) where we'll get to experience how our neighbors worship. What an amazing opportunity to explore Unitarian Universalism in Waukesha County! In the coming weeks, we'll reveal more about what to expect and how you can participate, and a full summer schedule will be available in plenty of time for you to plan. The option to carpool on these fun outings will be available. Summer's coming!!

Last week Rev. Julie spoke at the Canadian Unitarian Council Symposium
Did you miss it?
"I’d like to imagine that people can live into our aspirations to be theologically alive (minds open) and radically inclusive (doors open). Can we be the people who risk our comfort to create the life-changing realities that are needed to bring a world of love and justice into being?”

Our Community Room ceiling experienced water damage and requires some insulation replacement as well as opening the ceiling up to a 10' x 20' section to replace the drywall.
Typically, we don't hire members but, in this situation, we are considering hiring a business owned by a member who has been helping with the situation. To make sure we are clear and fair we are offering the opportunity for other members' businesses to bid. All bids need to be received by noon on May 31st. If you have questions, contact Vicki Banville, Church Administrator

The YRUU’s car wash fundraiser was an awesome success! They broke their own pre-pandemic record for the number of cars washed during a service. Thank you to everyone who entrusted these hardworking youth with their vehicles and then rewarded them generously. The proceeds will support their Heritage Trip to Boston. | |

Rev. Julie Stoneberg
2023 marks the 100th anniversary of our Flower Communion celebration. As we mark PRIDE, we also begin June’s exploration of the path of vulnerability. What do flowers teach us about the transience of life? Let us celebrate our ability to bloom and flower together, in a many-colored garden! Our Lead Music Director, Ruben Piirainen, will share his new piece, “Capek’s Journey.”
Don't forget to bring your flowers. However, some will be available if you do forget.
