"The Wisdom in Every BODY"
The Rev. Suzelle Lynch
and Chelsey Nisbet, MSW

Body size is a type of diversity we never talk about. Let's talk about body acceptance today,
body-positivity, and the theological roots of some of our prejudice and discrimination. Gen UU leader Chelsey Nisbet joins Rev. Suzelle, and Spencer Harris offers beautiful music.

A message from Dave Cicero

In this period of “Safer At Home,” I imagine that families may be looking for productive ways to occupy their kids (or themselves!) in meaningful activities reflecting UU values.
In lieu of a Sunday morning
RE program, I’m making available several options.
Share Your Joys & Concerns
Join Rev. Suzelle this Tuesday,
March 31 at 5 pm as she shares your Joys and Concerns each week via Facebook Live.

Click the blue button below to share a Joy or Concern, and to choose whether you'd like them shared "live" or shared only with Rev. Suzelle.
Brianna Laux Kocis, UUCW's Community Builder, will set up the buddy-pairs.  The first round of UUCW buddy registration will close on Sunday, 3/29.
Sign Up To Be a UUCW Buddy

Would you like a way to ease the lone-liness that you, or someone else might be feeling during this time?  Sign up to be a UUCW buddy, and be matched with a fellow church member or friend for kindly contact.

UUCW buddies promise to be in contact with each other at least once a week. Conversation-starters will be provided to assist getting to know each another -- but the topics of conversation are up to you!
Midweek Story For All Ages
with Mr. Dave

Dave Cicero is a wonderful storyteller. Please plan to connect online with him from the safety of your own home on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 2:00 pm.

Contact Dave Cicero to be invited to the Midweek Story Zoom Group.
Do You Need a Listener?
From time to time, everybody needs a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on. The Lay Pastoral Care Team is a group of trained, compassionate listeners, ready to offer care and support to UUCW members and friends through difficult times.
All inquiries will be handled confidentially.
In Uncertain Times, UUCW is a Great Investment
Make Your Financial Pledge Today

Our annual Pledge Drive is coming along...  We are at 74% of the $442,000 goal that allows us to sustain our spiritual community.

We invite you to make your pledge as soon as possible - OR - if you are unable to commit due to job loss, please let us know. YOUR gift makes all the difference - and UUCW is YOUR community, no matter what!

Member pledges and contributions fund more than 80% of the annual UUCW budget. We still need $116,500 to make our goal!
Click the red button to access online pledging, and more easy ways to Pledge.
Nominate Church Members for the 2019-2020 Trustee Awards!

Awards are given to members who took action exhibiting excellence, initiative, and commitment or who enhanced the life of the congregation through a project or over time.
What fun things are YOU doing during this time of "Shelter at Home"?

UUCW member Irene Heideman passes the time reading, coloring, and doing jigsaw puzzles during this time of "Safer at Home."

Send us your picture of what you are doing to keep kids engaged, spouses happy, or yourself occupied.
Don't forget to send a picture to
Kelly Bognar , and we’ll share your creativity in the E-news!
RE Challenge #2:
DIY Owl Puppet

Dave Cicero offers a way to engage kids in a fun activity AND help them (perhaps the whole family?) connect with UUCW. This week's challenge is a paper sculpture activity… one that helps illustrate this month’s Soul Matters theme of WISDOM.
Gen UU shared support for each other at their Zoom Gathering.
You can Zoom too!

During this difficult time, consider having a meeting to check in with the others in your group. UUCW has a Zoom account and is available for leaders to use.
Contact Vicki Banville to schedule a time for your virtual meeting.
Watch for the Pastoral eNews on Fridays, and the Spirit-Lifter on Tuesdays
Rev. Suzelle is offering these two weekly communications to support you and your family. Please be in touch with her to offer suggestions, or to reach out for support.
This is such an important election year: We need to reach out and make sure everyone votes!

Guest House Thank You

Guest House Meal Coordinator Eileen Gleeson would like to "let everyone know that the "Coronavirus version" of our Guest House meal went well. The sign-up list was completely full, as was our van. When we dropped off the food they said "Is all this for us?" Many thanks to everyone who contributed. Here's hoping we'll be able to serve our next meal ourselves on May 16.
The March Split the Plate Supports Tall Pines Conservancy

" Burned Up With Beauty "
The Rev. Suzelle Lynch

There’s a longing within each of us that is deep and compelling. But that
longing, that passion, gets muted, lost in day-to-day living. But in times
like these, when life is turned upside down by forces beyond our control,
it just might be easier to get in touch with that life-giving yearning at
our core. Will we dare?
