SUNDAY'S ORDER OF SERVICE

Pulpit Guest: Beth Monhollen

Worship Leader:

Kathy Bradshaw

The Universalist side of our UU heritage claims we are all universally worthy and beloved. Yet, that belief can render lived experiences and valuable differences invisible. How do we make space for those on the margins of society, especially the margins of poverty and hunger? How does Universalism call us to honor the particularities within our shared humanity?

Pronouns –

What an Interesting Topic!

A message from Rev. Suzelle

One of the things I wanted to speak to before I retire is about conversations Rev. Denise and I have been having with some of you regarding the practice of having speakers in worship services identify themselves and their pronouns. Why are we doing this?

Dear Ones WHO ARE THE CHURCH!

I am still learning names and stories. Some of you have met me in a meeting but I haven’t learned how did you come to UUCW? Why do you keep coming? What should I know about your family or who you live with? What are you trying to learn about in spiritual or religious sense? Are you a joiner? How is pandemic for you? Send me a photo and tell me about yourself.

Sending kindness, RevD

Social Action is a dynamic and important part of UUCW’s mission. It has changed over time to meet the needs of our community, our surrounding area, and our growing understanding of justice and injustice. Recently, 44 people responded to a Social Action Survey, expressing interest in our social action programs.

At the end of 2021, Ann Heidkamp, our Social Action Chair, stepped down after serving in that leadership position for eight years. She was celebrated and recognized by Lisa Larson, UUCW President and Rev. Suzelle Lynch.

"Love, Gratitude, and a Few Last Words…"

Suzelle_s Last bug2.jpg

The Rev. Suzelle Lynch

Goodbyes are challenging! Very few of us are taught how to say goodbye, let alone how to do it well. On this last Sunday with us, Rev. Suzelle Lynch would like to express her gratitude for 17 years of shared ministry at UUCW, celebrate what we accomplished together, and offer a few last words to wish us well.
