Rev. Denise Cawley
with Rev. Suzelle Lynch
Our culture is finally learning that our brains are attached to the rest of our bodies. We are unable to address physical health separately from mental health. Like an oil change, or a tune up on a car, mental check-ups are integral to overall health. Let’s demystify mental health as we look at the ways our bodies store pain, trauma and illness.

The Social Action Council has shared a new report from the Sentencing Project, The Color of Justice: Racial and Ethnic Disparity in State Prisons. The report shows that, nationwide, African-American people are incarcerated in state prisons at five times the rate of whites. Amid a grim national picture, Wisconsin again has the highest rate of African-American incarceration of any state in the nation. Please read and share this sobering report, and join our efforts to end this injustice. To get involved in the Social Action Council, contact Tom Moore.

"Samhain: Ritual, Relationship and Remembering"
|
Rev. Suzelle Lynch and
the EarthSpirit Team
Samhain (pronounced SOW-en and also known as Hallowe’en) is a celebration of the final fall harvest and is the ancient Celtic New Year. At Samhain, it was said that the “veil between the worlds” grew thin and that the spirits of our beloved dead could visit the land of the living bringing wisdom and advice. Today we set a feast table in honor of those we have lost, and remember them with love.
