Rev. Denise Cawley
Queer is not just a gender or sexuality, but also a theology. The language we have for understanding gender and sexuality is constrained by language, culture and even faith. Queer theology is a emerging way of describing life’s mysteries. You are invited to explore queer theologians as we ‘queer’ culture and faith and celebrate both National Coming Out Day and Indigenous People’s Day in this service.
| |
OR - join us IN PERSON outdoors to watch the livestream service on a big screen then enjoy our social hour!
Children age 6 and up will have outdoor Religious Education during service. Masks required for everyone – and we invite you to bring your own lawn chair.

MORE MUSIC PROGRAM NEWS:
We are pleased to announce that Ruben Piirainen has agreed to step into the Lead Music Director role. Ruben has been with UUCW since 2003 when he began as our accompanist. He later became Director of Music, and was in the first group of UU musicians to become Credentialed Music Leaders within the Unitarian Universalist Association. Ruben recruited Jen Nicolosi to join our program, and then continued to direct the Adult Choir when she took the reins of leadership.

"Keeping Our Hearts Open" | |
|
Rev. Suzelle Lynch
with Denise Cawley
When we think about cultivating relationships (our October theme), we tend to focus on how relationships begin, not how they might change over time, or how they come to an end. And yet, for any relationship to grow and deepen, it has to change. And that means being vulnerable enough to keep our hearts open – including in our relationships with each other at UUCW.
