Giving White Glove Service

VITA program makes significant impact.



In 2023, 35 volunteers worked alongside United Way of Charlotte County (UWCC) staff to operate the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) for another successful season of free tax preparation in our community. They reviewed W2s and 1099s. They asked questions to determine tax credit eligibility. They double-checked Social Security numbers and addresses.


And they did it with grace and a smile.

The training for Summer Reading Buddies is full. UWCC, and the entire Charlotte County Reads team, is excited for the ongoing support of our community in addressing this pressing need for struggling students.

United at Work has provided hurricane-related financial assistance to an additional 52 families since last month. Your continued contribution to this fund helps keep Charlotte County running!
