We have established the national office and hired our CEO
What's New
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself to the Women's Enterprise Organizations of Canada network. While I officially took on the new role of CEO on September 3, I am not new to the women's enterprise ecosystem. For the past 17 years, I have worked with the Women's Enterprise Centre of Manitoba, most recently as the Director of Communications and Client Services. Over the years, I have been involved with program and event development, connected directly with entrepreneurs as a business advisor, and travelled internationally to share experiences of women entrepreneur support organizations. I am very excited that this position enables me to remain connected with the vibrant and inspiring women entrepreneurs who are located across our country.

This is an exhilarating time as we add to our team and zero in on our priorities. We look forward to sharing with you news and events that are taking place in the ecosystem and the developments at WEOC. We also welcome your feedback and look forward to hearing from you.

Until next time,
Alison Kirkland, CEO
How I Spent My First Week
It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. My first official duty as WEOC CEO was speaking at two conferences in Ukraine, a country very interested in ways to support women entrepreneurs. In addition to connecting one-on-one with the conference participants, I had the opportunity to visit the production facilities of Timi Tex a manufacturer of baby clothing and Lol & Pop , a maker of all-natural candy. Both businesses, were of course, owned and operated by women entrepreneurs.
