"Pray Like God Hears You" by Pastor Rob
Prayer Circle
Pray like God hears you and your community matters.
Okay, what's this about? It’s the first of Monday of the New Year. I went for a walk through the neighborhood that’s adjacent to our church’s lot. We are surrounded by neighbors of varying stories. The hundreds of people who live within a quarterback’s throw of our property are characterized by diversity: income diversity, racial diversity, political diversity, varying family set-ups, religious diversity, and education diversity.
As I walked through the neighborhood and thought about it and prayed for the people who live there, a thought hit me. So, I posed my thought as a question to God. “Why can’t three or four of these households, people who are currently unchurched, find their way to Jesus at Hillside church in 2021?”

Hello from the Food Pantry!
We appreciate all the help over the last several months- whether it is been prayers, donations, labor, time... it's all needed. The number of clients we are serving each week fluctuates between 80 and 100 and many hands are needed to get everything done. We always appreciate hearing from our clients and we want to share a couple messages with you.

Sometimes, the food we provide is only needed temporarily. One client let us know her family could be taken off our list. She said, "We could never had done this without your help over the past few months. We are caught up and we will be ok. Again, I cannot thank you enough."

In December, several Hillside ladies donated baked goods as Christmas gifts that we distributed to our clients. They made 100+ cakes and more than 1600 cookies. One of our clients shared this message: "Thank you so much, first "Christmas" gift I received in many years!"

We thank God and we thank you so much for your faithfulness!
Covenant Place Thank You
Dear Hillside Family,
You’ve done it again! You’ve once again demonstrated your love and care for others, this time by serving the residents of Covenant Place.

Thanks go to our youth and their leader, Pastor Rob, for making beautiful cards and signs of remembrance that are now posted at Covenant Place for all to see. Thank you also for visiting them outside in early December and singing Christmas carols. They love you and can’t wait to see you again!
And a big THANKS to all of you who donated items from their wish list. We were able to deliver many bags full of items to them just before Christmas. You have shown well that we worship and serve a God who is generous and kind. Thank you.
