Las Vegas' historic federal courthouse building now houses the National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement, better known as "The Mob Museum."
Based on the positive experience at the chapter membership networking mixer at the Mob Museum in December, SN-ICC has scheduled a membership mixer there again.
The networking mixer is set for 5 p.m., to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 11 at the historic attraction in Downtown Las Vegas.
Members who attend the complimentary mixer will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, beverages and the run of the museum's exhibits.
"Great people have great values and great ethics," - Jeffrey Gitomer
Yvonne Nevarez-Goodman, executive director of the Nevada Commission on Ethics, will be the guest speaker at the Chapter Meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 11 at Sierra Gold on Jones Boulevard and Sunset Road.
The annual "Ethics" meeting will also include an introduction to the student recipients of this year's SN-ICC scholarship awards.
The Nevada Commission on Ethics is an 8-member body appointed by the governor and Legislative Commission to interpret and enforce the provisions of the Ethics in Government Law set forth in NRS Chapter 281A ("Ethics Law").
The Ethics Law establishes the public policy and standards of conduct necessary to ensure the integrity and impartiality of government, free from conflicts of interest between public duties and private interests of state and local public officers and employees.

SN-ICC has partnered with the local chapter of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials to offer classes on the 2018 Uniform Mechanical Code and 2018 Uniform Plumbing Code.
The classes are scheduled for the mornings and afternoons of November 7 and November 8 at the Henderson Inspection Services Building, 2101 Moser Drive, Henderson, NV 89015.
The classes will be complimentary for SN-ICC and IAPMO members; $55 for non-members.
Please watch your Inbox for additional details and registration coming soon.

The chapter is pleased to report that membership has grown to 303, which is a record number of members.

That's an 11 percent increase compared to the 273 members in 2017.

The chapter salutes all those involved in bringing in new members, but especially, the Membership Committee, chaired by 2nd Vice President Jim Gerren of Clark County, for their outstanding efforts to boost membership and retain existing, valued members.

Also, of special note, the City of North Las Vegas signed up an additional eight members this year, and KB Home signed up seven additional members, including two student interns.

Educode Director Al Ellis and the members of the EduCode Committee have been hard at work establishing plans for the 2019 EduCode conference and expo, set for March 11-15 at the Orleans Hotel Conference Center.

EduCode registration is set to begin on October 19.
Please watch your Inbox for updates, and plan to sign up early for the best selection of classes and early-bird discount pricing.
Details will be available soon on the EduCode website,

Examples of such fixtures include, but are not limited to, fire pits, fireplaces, barbecue stub outs and tiki torches.
