A Few Notes

This Sunday we kick off our 40 Hours devotion with Vespers in the Church at 7 PM, followed by our first speaker, Fr. James Joseph. We do hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities to adore our Lord which will take place between Sunday and Tuesday evening. Aside from perpetual adoration, there will be prayers, chaplets, confessions and wonderful speakers to inspire you on your Lenten journey to grow closer to Jesus. We pray that everyone who is able will sign up for an hour of overnight adoration HERE. Even once the spaces fill, you are welcome to come sit with Jesus for an hour or two. To see the full schedule for the three days, click HERE.

The Choir is rehearsing on Tuesday this week at 6 PM in room 1.

The Young Adults are invited to attend Theology on Tap in the Parish Center on Thursday evening. See below for details or register HERE.

We will finish this coming week with our annual Fish Fry on Friday and the St. Patrick's Day Party sponsored by the Knights of Columbus next Saturday evening. We do hope to see you all there! Details below.

Congratulations are in order for our three Candidates for the Permanent Diaconate, Jim Clee, Keith Davis, and Joe Matus, who were recently instituted as Acolytes. This Ministry is an important part of their journey toward the Order of Deacon. You can read about it HERE.

Adoration from Sunday through Tuesday evening will be held in the Church.

Pray for Our Parish

Dear God, I believe that you have the ability to convert everyone at St. Joseph the Worker Church and I beg you to perform miracles in our lives that we will come to love you and never want to offend you.

I beg you to let us see our sins and run to the confessional, that the lines will be out the door.

Set the hearts of our priests on fire so that they burn with the desire for the conversion of every soul in the parish.

I implore you to make St. Joseph's a beacon in our diocese, that souls will be drawn by the holiness they find here.

I ask that you blind Satan to every parishioner, that they might have the space to know and love you without temptation.

I offer myself to you completely at whatever the cost.

Amen

God our Father, please send us holy priests and religious, all for the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, all for the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, in union with Saint Joseph.

Amen
