A Few Notes

Habemus Papam! We have a Pope! Please pray for Pope Leo XIV. As Catholics, we are a people of hope in the Jubilee Year of Hope! May God bless Pope Leo, and my the Holy Spirit guide him in all things.

We wish all of the mothers in our parish a very blessed and relaxing Mother's Day. What you do to raise children in this world can make you a saint, and make your children saints, as well. You may never be officially recognized by the Church, but your families will never forget all of the sacrificing and suffering that you do on their behalf. Thank you!

Spoil Mom with a flower or two this weekend after Mass and support PA for Life. The St. Joseph the Worker Defenders of Life will be selling flowers under the canopy after all Masses.

How you can help our Flea Market succeed:

-Clean out your closets and storage spaces and donate what you don't use (see the list of things we can't accept HERE)

-Donate your bags from grocery and department stores

-Volunteer some time to empty the two-car garage, clean donated items and help organize (come in between 9am-2pm, Tues-Sun)

-Donate some items on the Flea Market supplies list below

-Tell family and friends about this great opportunity to donate

-Share our Flea Market page with everyone you know HERE

The bathrooms in the Church will be closed next week (12th-16th) for renovations. Please use the Parish Center bathrooms if needed.

If you sing or play an instrument and would like to share your talents at some point during the summer months, contact Mark HERE. More information can be found in the bulletin.

We will begin to pray the Rosary before Masses this month, but have had a difficult time finding volunteers to lead. If you are willing, please be prepared to begin 25 minutes prior to Mass and sign up HERE. Most urgently, we still need a person for the 9 AM Mass this weekend. Thank you!

Lost Rosary- Found at Trexler Game Preserve near the overlook. Blue beads with a darker steal crucifix. Contact John HERE if it's yours!

Somebody looks happy, doesn't he? Watch the video to find out why!

The two-car garage is open from 9-5 Tuesday through Sunday,

closed on Mondays. See a list of unacceptable items HERE.

For safety, please wrap and box your glass donations.

We are currently collecting wine and spirits for our Liquor Pick this year. We ask that you do not donate older bottles of wine (more than two years), as they can sour over time. Donations may be brought to the Parish Office between 9 AM-4:30 PM, or contact Jess at 610-841-2502 to make arrangements outside of office hours. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!

We are in need of leaders for the following stands and jobs:

Ice Cream Sandwiches (to include making them in advance), Bleenies, Beverages, Security, Emcee (to announce bands, promote sponsors, call winners, etc.). We also hold a Volunteer Appreciation Event in the weeks following the Festival and are looking for a chair or co-chairs for that event. Contact Lance HERE for more info.

New this year: Check out our Merch Mart! We currently have 11 items, but you might really be interested in our volunteer aprons (black or white), and our 12 oz wine and 20 oz beer tumblers! Purchase one of them and get a deal on your drinks at the Festival. For example, if you buy the Beer tumbler and use it at the Festival, you'll get 20 ounces of beer for the price of 16. I'll let you do the math, but it's a bargain! You can find it HERE, but you'll want to order ASAP or by June 6th to make sure you have your items in time.

If you own your own business, or if your place of employment would like to become a sponsor, we have a level for every budget. Fill out the Sponsor Form below and return it to the Parish Office.

Get excited! The Festival is just around the corner.

Congratulations to our 6th-8th grade team for placing third in this week's Reading Olympics competition.

Pray for Our Parish

Dear God,

I believe that you have the ability to convert everyone at St. Joseph the Worker Church and I beg you to perform miracles in our lives that we will come to love you and never want to offend you.

I beg you to let us see our sins and run to the confessional, that the lines will be out the door.

Set the hearts of our priests on fire so that they burn with the desire for the conversion of every soul in the parish.

I implore you to make St. Joseph's a beacon in our diocese, that souls will be drawn by the holiness they find here.

I ask that you blind Satan to every parishioner, that they might have the space to know and love you without temptation.

I offer myself to you completely at whatever the cost.

Amen
