A Few Notes

This weekend is our Parish Breakfast, where the Teens for Life from our parish will be taking family Christmas pictures (pets allowed in picture, but not in the Main Hall for breakfast) as a fundraiser for pro-life causes. Teens for Life supports moms and babies in our area.

The Giving Tree is up in the vestibule. We hope you will participate in this Advent giving opportunity. See info below.

Unfortunately, Peter Herbeck will not be speaking this Sunday evening at our parish. For those who saved the date, you now have space in your calendar. You're welcome!

This weekend is the collection for our local Diocese Poverty Relief Fund. In 2022, this fund supported 19 projects across all five counties in our Diocese. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

The Catholic Grandparents Association have changed their meeting venue this Saturday. Please see below.

You should be receiving a letter with Mass Times for Christmas soon. Please note that they went to print before the Vigil Mass time was changed to 4 PM. We will be using the 4 PM time, not 5 PM as listed.

The Catholic Grandparents Association will meet this Saturday morning, November 18, for Mass at 8:30 and then hold a breakfast meeting at the Starlight Diner on Rt. 100 in Fogelsville immediately following. All grandparents are welcome to join us!

The Youth Group will be meeting on Sunday in the Multipurpose Room at the School from 6-8 PM for classic board games and ice-cream sundaes. If you are in 8th-12th grade, we hope you'll join us! If this will be your first Youth Group event, please print and fill out a participation form HERE.

THE YOUTH CHOIR will be singing for the Christmas Eve Mass in the Parish Center at 4 PM. All school age children are welcome to join us. Practices will be Sundays at 2PM in the church beginning November 19. There are so many children in the parish at Mass every week. It would be wonderful to hear their voices joined to offer a special birthday gift to the Christ Child in song. If you have any questions, email Fran HERE.

Poster Contest • Keep Christ in Christmas

The Knights of Columbus invite all students in grades K-8 to enter their poster contest. Prepare your sketches now, and entry forms will be available December 1st on the Church bulletin board. There are prizes and a chance for your winning poster to advance to Districts!

Pray for Our Parish

Dear God,

I believe that you have the ability to convert everyone at St. Joseph the Worker Church and I beg you to perform miracles in our lives that we will come to love you and never want to offend you.

I beg you to let us see our sins and run to the confessional, that the lines will be out the door.

Set the hearts of our priests on fire so that they burn with the desire for the conversion of every soul in the parish.

I implore you to make St. Joseph's a beacon in our diocese, that souls will be drawn by the holiness they find here.

I ask that you blind Satan to every parishioner, that they might have the space to know and love you without temptation.

I offer myself to you completely at whatever the cost.

Amen
