St. Alphonsus Liguori 8/1
Pray for us!
From Fr. David

I once heard a story about Mother Teresa, who was offered a large sum of money by a generous donor on one condition. The money had to be put into an endowment so that whatever happened, Mother and her sisters would be financially secure. The donor thought that, by this condition, he could show Mother Teresa a thing or two about being financially savvy.

Mother Teresa refused the money. She said that if the Missionaries of Charity were ever in a situation where they needed an endowment to continue to exist...

The parish has a Linen Committee consisting of 4 volunteers who take care of washing the altar linens used at Mass. Each member is responsible for a week at a time, and spends several total hours that week washing and ironing the linens. Prayerfully consider joining us in this ministry. It's a great opportunity to work mostly from home and still provide a needed service to the parish. For further information, or to volunteer, contact Mary at 610-434-2594 or email adoration@stjw.org .
