A Few Notes

Happy All Hallows' Eve! We do hope you will come celebrate the saints and martyrs with us tonight at 5 PM. We'll begin the night with Solemn Vespers in the Church and then gather around a fire outside. Father Brelinsky will provide the s'mores and you are welcome to bring your own snacks, beverages and lawn chairs.

Reminders: turn your clocks back tomorrow night and don't forget to vote on Tuesday!

As we enter into National Vocations Awareness Week, we do hope you will take time to pray for religious vocations, as well as ponder your own vocation (a calling from God through which you will make the world a better place). This HERE is an excellent article which may provide you with some new food for thought on the topic.

The Women's Guild will be under the canopy after all Masses this weekend, selling chances to win the beautiful quilt which was donated by our own Clover Dell Schoolhouse Quilters who meet on Wednesday mornings in the Rectory Basement. They will also be selling 50/50 tickets which will be drawn at Craftfest on November 15. No need to be present to win!

The Mass will be live-streamed at 11 AM this Sunday instead of the usual 9 AM for this weekend only.

At all Masses, we will complete nominations during Mass for our Parish Pastoral Council. Take some time before coming to prayerfully consider whether you know of someone who would be up to the task. Your name will not be revealed to any of the people you nominate.

The Food Pantry is in need of Snacks, Canned Corn, and Pasta this week. Please place donations in the basket in the vestibule at Mass or bring to the Parish Office M-F between 9 and 4:30.

Our Adoration Chapel is open Monday through Friday from 9AM-8PM (except tonight it closes at 6 due to special circumstances). You are welcome anytime, but if you are ready to commit and make visits with our Lord a regular part of your routine, we have hours that need weekly adorers every day of the week. Please scroll to the bottom of this email to see our open hours in red, and contact the email listed below. Unsure about adoration? Read about it HERE.

The newly formed Youth Choir will meet for a brief rehearsal on November 9th. The Youth Choir will share a special piece of music at the 11:00 Mass on November 16th. All are welcome from Grades 2-8.

Now accepting 7th and 8th graders through 12th grade.

Knights of Columbus Council 10921 is sponsoring a poster contest for all student parishioners. Each poster must reflect the Keep Christ in Christmas theme with a visual image. Cash prizes awarded and first place winners will advance to the District level. Applications available in the vestibule. Deadline is November 31st. Drop box also located in the vestibule.

Pray for Our Parish

Dear God,

I believe that you have the ability to convert everyone at St. Joseph the Worker Church and I beg you to perform miracles in our lives that we will come to love you and never want to offend you.

I beg you to let us see our sins and run to the confessional, that the lines will be out the door.

Set the hearts of our priests on fire so that they burn with the desire for the conversion of every soul in the parish.

I implore you to make St. Joseph's a beacon in our diocese, that souls will be drawn by the holiness they find here.

I ask that you blind Satan to every parishioner, that they might have the space to know and love you without temptation.

I offer myself to you completely at whatever the cost.

Amen
