A Few Notes

Following up on our Jubilee Year of Grace focal points, have you invited anyone to Mass? It can be awkward, but do it anyway! You just might transform someone's entire life. In this month of the Holy Name of Jesus, may it be so!

Our parish is responding to our Bishop's request to make a big push to promote vocations. If you do not know the story of the miracle in the small village of Lu, Italy, please take a couple of minutes to read about it HERE. May it set your heart on fire to pray fervently for vocations!

Our Parish Breakfast is this Sunday, and we have some news to share. We have a new Family Price of $40, which includes two parents and all of their children age 12 and under. We would like to be clear that this is for parents and their children, not grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. The objective is to assist our young families so that they can participate in the spirit of the breakfast. On another note, to keep our breakfast affordable for all, we will no longer be serving the brunch part of the breakfast which occurred after the 11 AM Mass. Both of these decisions involved a lot of prayer, price-checking and problem solving, so kudos to all who were involved. We hope our young families can participate and enjoy this opportunity to come together.

Our Bereavement Support Group is looking for volunteers with kind and compassionate hearts who would like to help serve those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. If this touches your heart, email Patty HERE.

Altar Server Training will occur again on January 24th at 11 AM. If your child would like to serve on the altar, has made their First Communion, and is in 4th grade or higher, contact Gina HERE with your child's name, your email and phone number to RSVP for the training.

Family Promise is hosting this week of January 11th. If you would like to volunteer to make and deliver a meal, host during dinner, or sleep overnight, please take a look at the signup form HERE. Clearances are required to host or stay over. Contact Fran HERE with any questions.

Pray for Our Parish

Dear God, I believe that you have the ability to convert everyone at St. Joseph the Worker Church and I beg you to perform miracles in our lives that we will come to love you and never want to offend you.

I beg you to let us see our sins and run to the confessional, that the lines will be out the door.

Set the hearts of our priests on fire so that they burn with the desire for the conversion of every soul in the parish.

I implore you to make St. Joseph's a beacon in our diocese, that souls will be drawn by the holiness they find here.

I ask that you blind Satan to every parishioner, that they might have the space to know and love you without temptation.

I offer myself to you completely at whatever the cost.

Amen

Pray for Vocations

God our Father, please send us holy priests and religious, all for the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, all for the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, in union with Saint Joseph.

Amen
