NEW--Latest in the Fight Against COVID-19-- The Anne Arundel County Department of Health will begin to offer COVID-19 vaccines to children under the age of 5 years starting on Tuesday, June 21st. For more information on COVID-19 vaccines, please visit the Anne Arundel County Department of Health's website HERE.
Maryland Omicron Preparedness/NEW Testing Site-- The state of Maryland has announced new measures to maintain preparedness in light of the new Omicron variant. MDH has added a state-run testing site at Anne Arundel Medical Center, open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for walk-in PCR tests only. This site only offers PCR testing (no at-home test kits will be provided).

Bottled Water for the Lighthouse Shelter
Bring bottled water to Heritage Baptist Church to help homeless persons prepare for the heat and hot weather. All donations will be taken to the Lighthouse Shelter.
Food donations by Annapolis residents are also welcome for the food pantry at Heritage Baptist Church (1740 Forest Drive Annapolis, MD 21401) from 9:00-11:00am. Please bring an ID or proof of address!

New First Time Home Buyer Programs
DHCD has launched two new loan products to provide higher levels of down payment and closing cost assistance for new homeowners. The new 1st Time Advantage programs offers down payment and closing cost assistance equal to 5% or 4% of the first mortgage.

Get Internet–Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
Eligible households can receive $30 off their internet bills per month. In addition, 20 leading internet providers are offering high-speed internet plans for no more than $30 per month through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
Eligible families can pair their ACP benefits with one of these plans and may receive high-speed internet at no cost.

Join Save Our Trees at Truxton Park on June 18th from 10:00 am to 12:00pm.
Help gather, remove, cut and pull ivy that are killing our trees and threatening the life of the forest. Wear long pants or shorts and bring gloves, loppers, small handsaws, water and plenty of bug spray.

- Asbury United Methodist Church, 87 West St Annapolis MD, has a food pantry available ever Wed. and Fri. from 9AM - 11AM.
- Heritage Baptist Church, 1740 Forest Drive Annapolis MD, has food giveaway every Tuesday 9:30am-11am (must provide ID and proof of residency)
- First Baptist Church of Annapolis, 31 W. Washington Street, gives away pantry bags and prepared meals every Saturday, 11 am - 1 pm
- Discoveries: the Library at the Mall in Westfield Annapolis Mall, gives away baby/infant supplies and menstrual products every Saturday from 10 am - 12 pm.
- Cornerstone Church: Rotating HACA communities on the second Saturday of each month (May - Bloomsbury, June - Eastport, July - Morris Blum, August - Robinwood). Each giveaway will be 12:30pm 2:30pm.
Delivery and transportation options are available for those unable to pick-up in person. Call Office of Emergency Management at 410-260-2211 to Schedule a Fresh Food Delivery Option.
