Workin' like a boss! Since January 2021, Lindsey Bosse, MSW Intern has worked in the Rimrock Trail’s Redmond Counseling Clinic. Starting with the organization as a school referral to complete her hours for schooling, she chose to stay with Rimrock Trails as an Outpatient Counselor.
With a passion for story and the human condition, Lindsey graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland with a double major in English and Psychology. Upon graduation, she worked for the Department of Human Services and eventually transitioned into her true passion, wilderness therapy.
Her eight-year love affair with wilderness therapy helped her to develop a love for the concept of personal accountability and relational rapport. Combined, these concepts create a safe space for people to explore what they want, what they are capable of, and how they can exist with others. As she is drawn to working with folks that struggle with depression, anxiety, and the side effects of trauma and substance abuse, in 2020 she sought her Master’s in Social Work.
Long-term Lindsey would love to continue seeing more access, education, and awareness for mental health within the Central Oregon community.
As the wilderness is her passion, it is not surprising Lindsey, her partner, and two dogs love the outdoors, especially days next to lakes or rivers reading, or swimming. She is also a big fan of hiking, gardening, skiing, and board games.
Thank you, Lindsey, for your ongoing commitment to Rimrock Trails and the individuals and families we serve.
