Kiefer's Magic Lives On

The Fifth Annual Kiefer's Magical Birthday Bash, hosted by Rimrock Trails and Wild Ride Brewing, was a tremendous success, raising more than $70,000 for the Kiefer Magical Legacy Fund. The two-day celebration brought hundreds of community members together in Prineville and Redmond for live music, great food, raffles, auctions, and meaningful conversations about mental health awareness.

Established by the Leutschaft family in memory of their son, Kiefer, the Kiefer Magical Legacy Fund helps support the Rimrock Trails Client Financial Support Fund and scholarships for students pursuing careers in behavioral health and related fields.

Rimrock Trails and the Leutschaft family are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Kiefer Leutschaft Memorial Scholarships. Four graduating seniors were each awarded a $2,500 scholarship:

• Avery Burnett, Crook County High School

• Ryan Quinn, Crook County High School

• Parker Gibson, Redmond High School

• Kaylie Sullivan, Redmond High School

These outstanding students plan to pursue higher education in psychology, occupational therapy, and other behavioral health-related fields, helping to build the next generation of mental health professionals.

Thank you to Wild Ride Brewing, the Leutschaft family, event sponsors, donors, volunteers, and everyone who attended and supported this year's event.

Together, you are helping keep Kiefer's magic alive, expanding access to mental health services, and investing in the future of behavioral healthcare in our communities.

Community in Action: Supporting Hope, Healing, and Recovery

Community Coming Together for Mental Health

On May 20, nearly 100 community members gathered in Prineville for Rimrock Trails’ Life-Changing Luncheon, helping raise awareness about mental health and ensuring local individuals and families can access behavioral health services.

Together, attendees sent a powerful message that no one must struggle alone. Their support helps create hope and healing for children facing anxiety, parents feeling overwhelmed, and teens seeking connection and brighter futures.

A special thank you to keynote speaker Chuck Jones of The Oregon Lightning, who reminded us that behavioral health services are not luxuries, they are essential to help create thriving communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all the Prineville Community Engagement Team members, we could not have done it without you!

Sip, Shop & Nosh Brings Community Together

On June 2, Rimrock Trails was honored to be the beneficiary of the Sip, Shop & Nosh event hosted by Jessica Pollard and the wonderful team at Merryweather in Bend.

Guests enjoyed an evening of shopping, refreshments, and meaningful connections while learning more about the Rimrock Trails mission and the importance of accessible mental health and substance use treatment services in Central Oregon.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jessica and the entire Merryweather team for their generosity and commitment to supporting mental wellness. Their partnership helps ensure that help, hope, and healing remain available to individuals and families throughout our region.

A special thank-you also goes to our dedicated Bend Community Engagement Team members, whose enthusiasm and support helped make the evening a tremendous success.

Rimrock Trails' Volunteer Corner

Volunteer Spotlight: Ann Cronin

Event Volunteer for Rimrock Trails

Rimrock Trails is fortunate to have an incredible team of volunteers, and we are excited to introduce one of our dedicated worker bees, Ann Cronin, Community Banker with First Interstate Bank in Bend.

Ann is one of our go-to volunteers whenever we need help staffing community events. Her helpful nature, positive attitude, and joyful spirit make her a favorite among staff, volunteers, and event attendees alike. We are grateful for the time, energy, and kindness she shares with Rimrock Trails.

In Ann's words:

"Born and raised in Central Oregon, I'm happiest outdoors, at a live music show, or soaking up all the goodness our community has to offer. I'm a movie lover through and through, and was lucky enough to work at The Last Blockbuster! When I'm not talking movies, I'm hanging out with my sweet senior husky, Kierra, spending time with friends and family, or painting rocks for fun. Giving back is close to my heart, and I love finding ways to volunteer and spread a little extra kindness wherever I can."

Thank you, Ann, for making a difference in our community and helping support the mission of Rimrock Trails.

Bowties & Boots Is Back!

Mark your calendars! Rimrock Trails' 5th Annual Bowties & Boots fundraiser returns October 29th, at Brasada Ranch. Enjoy an evening of food, live music, auctions, raffles, and community connection while supporting local behavioral health services throughout Central Oregon.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Resources For You

June is PTSD Awareness Month

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, not just military veterans. While PTSD is often associated with combat, it can also develop following abuse, accidents, natural disasters, or other life-altering experiences.

An estimated 6% of Americans will experience PTSD during their lifetime, and effective treatments are available. PTSD Awareness Month serves as a reminder that recovery is possible and that seeking help is a sign of strength.

If you or someone you know is struggling, support and evidence-based treatment can make a meaningful difference.
